Anna Marie
Me: What is the plot of Anna Marie?
Emily: Well, the main theme for Anna Marie is pirates of course. The plot is a young girl, Robin, and her friend, Eric, get aboard a pirate ship, mainly for Robin, but because of the adventure they'll get along the way.
Me: What is the name of their ship?
Emily: Well that depends on which ship you are wondering, as there are three different ships. Captain Wayland's is Anna Marie, like the name of the book. Captain Jame's is River Nida, and Governor Garett's is Jasmine.
Me: How do Captain Wayland and Captain James fit in your book?
Emily: Captain Wayland, or Wayland as he's called throughout most of the book, fits into the book, because he is also one of the main character. He also helps with Robin's personality, as she has little anger issues, And gets Eric to play his part as hero. Captain James fits in because he is the lord of the Caribbean and he has to take Robin away in order for the rest of the story to happen.
Me: How much research has gone into this book?
Emily: It did take a little bit of research on the seas and the oceans in order for a little bit of this to happen. There was a little bit of research for the Pirate Code in it. And then quite a bit of sword fighting, because I really didn't know how to sword fight but I am learning, along with Robin.
Me: What is the climax of your story?
Emily: When Robin falls off the Anna Marie and is taken aboard the River Nida.
Me: What happens when she is taken aboard?
Emily: She is taken aboard toward the 13th chapter... and is knocked off when a wave rocks the boat. No one realizes it, then Wayland tells the ladies to get below, but they can't find Robin. So they set out to go to the River Nida to go and see if James has her. When they get there, James claims he has no clue what they're talking about, but he knows what he's talking about really, and Wayland is about to kill James, but doesn't.
Me: Is their a ship to ship fight?
Emily: Kind of, because Wayland doesn't really want to give Wayland back his crew after he promises them to James because that was his only way of staying on the Caribbean... but the fight is really short, the next book will have the bigger fight scene.
Me:What will your next book be called?
Emily: The Treasure of the Seas
Me: What will we be able to expect to see in it?
Emily: Lots of anger problems from Robin. Wayland getting in trouble with Port Royale, and James. And Eric playing hero again.
Me: Do you have any ideas for a movie?
Emily: I am thinking about either going to Disney, Pixar, or Warner Brothers. If I get it into a movie it would be amazing and I'd want to be in it of course. That wouldn't mean I would get the main part though.
Me: Last question do you have any questions for our readers?
Emily: Well, I hope they enjoy the book, and that the book is a teaching lesson, have faith, and you will go far, if you don't it will crumble at your toes.
Me: Thank you Miss Emily Koons for taking time for this interview.
